“A novel (or narrative) that mixes coyly quarantined reality, literature and cinema, quotations and allusions, different voices and different writing techniques (from the French 'new novel' to Lev Rubinstein's catalogs). A novel that unfolds like a motion picture, a novel of anticipation and testimony at the same time. It is an intricate, complexly organized chaos, one of the main motifs of which is “What you will do alone with the catastrophe is what you will do within it.””

“Beznosov's novel, written, as the author points out, in the tradition of the French “new novel,” is perhaps the premier text about our time. It is stitched together from fragments. Here is someone's monologue, in which the speaker, his age, gender, psychological or mental state, can be guessed only by the context, here - as if a piece of script of a short film or video clip, and here - dialogues of some people who have escaped from something terrible, sitting somewhere and afraid of being discovered, but at the same time one of them periodically dies. This creates the effect of immersion, the reader treats what is happening as its participant: he also does not understand anything, the world is also given to him in pieces, and from these pieces gradually emerges a picture of the transformation of the familiar world into a terrible, launched by the biopolitical state machine, total chaos, existentially devaluing and modifying people”.
