Statement by Mikhail Shishkin, Chair of the Dar Prize Jury, on the results of the second season’s vote

“According to the results of the Jury vote, three books from the shortlist received an equal number of votes: “A Little Paradise“ by Ksenia Buksha, “Lullaby for Mariupol“ by Alexandra Krashevskaya, and “Days of Repentance“ by Oleg Radzinsky, and we now find ourselves in a situation where the competition has produced three winners instead of the announced two. As Chair of the Jury, I have decided that this season the Dar Literary Prize, in the form of translation grants, will be awarded to all three works that received the highest number of votes. This is a challenge for us, but we are confident that we will manage. Congratulations to the winners!”
